Hi,
Don't want to cause offence to anyone but.....my husband and i spent nearly a year looking at websites, e-mailing breeders etc.. but not knowing anyone with a Bengal, and therefore not knowing about any breeders, it is a difficult choice to make. The look of a website and the answers you get over e-mail does not always portray the whole picture. Just because someone is registered with TICA and The Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain, The International Bengal Cat Society, The International Bengal Cat Connection, The International Bengal Breeders Association Inc. and CatTica, etc does not mean that they measure up to the things that everyone says you should look for in a breeder, and when buying kittens over the internet (as they are far too expensive down south) you can arrive at the breeders to find things not quite as you thought. As i said at the begining, don't want to cause offence, but shouldn't these organisations be ensuring that the breeders they register match up to their recomendations. Is there a website that rates breeders, (the animal version of 'which') written by those that have bought the animals (as i think this should apply to all) with individuals honest opinion, not only of the kitten, but of enviroment, diet etc, and if not why not? as such a website might stop those only interested in the cash. Loving cats does not make a good breeder.
Thanks for your time - i know its a long post.
