New Baby!!

Just wanted to show off my new baby girl...I have officially put money down on her! I pick her up from a show breeder in Massachusetts around Mothers Day!! I am BEYOND excited!!

Nope, brown rosette. Her mama has some super sea blue/green eyes. I hope they stay that color!!!

Are you going to breed her? She is really gorgeous. I just worry about Suri getting jealous! I'm sorry, I'm just so far behind with reading Facebook postings. I miss seeing Suri every day. And now this new baby!

No, she wont be for breeding. I do wish she had full rights. She needs to be shown! Haha, Suri is sooooo not going to be happy. Shes a very very jealous cat. Hopefully with veeeeeeeeery slow, proper introduction she comes around.

Sherry...yeah Ive given up on finding a breeding quality queen. There just arent any available in this area. At least none that are quality enough TO breed. I have an aquaintence that has been buying VERY poor quality bengals (lots of physical abnormalities in his cats) with full rights and is now running a kitten mill out of his garage. Disgusting.

I am considering offering to pay extra for full rights on this new kitten. Not so much for breeding, but for show. Her mother is a European import that is amazing. The whole litter has stunning kittens. This little female and one of the males are totally show quality. Id love to learn how to show, and I think this little female would be a good start for a novice. The breeder shows as well, so she could be a valuable knowledge source.

Lots to research on showing kitties. Somewhere -- maybe even on this forum -- is a guide to showing cats. It can be extremely time consuming and if you want to get to a Supreme Grand Champion, it can take a TON of shows and time. Once you've done that, there isn't much else left after that. Even having just a Champion kitty is good. You're young and have the stamina to deal with all the waiting that goes along with cat shows. Lots of traveling since most are not going to come to you. Might as well go for the titles while the kitty is young. Takes 6,000 points to achieve SGC status. Good luck!
