Hi I have decided to seriously consider buying/adopting a friend for Amara. I have my heart set on having another Bengal. I have considered a kitten but then I came across ads for older Bengals who are looking for their forever homes and I can't stop looking at this beautiful boy but as am neither a expert or a breeder I want your opinion on if he appears to be defiantly Bengal (or atleast half)

I love the idea of owning a spotted and a marble and this boy is marble.

No chip, no Vax, no neuter?
In the States, I'd be very leery. Also with a boy who is shy, I'd want to take a look at my current pet's personality and my home's dynamic more than anything about his coat and such.

neutering I am not worried about as I can book him in when I take him to the vets for a check up, also I can get his vaccinations done myself but I will admit I rarely vaccinate my own cats so I would be a hypocrite to let that put me off him.

His shy personality is what I like as I think this may put alot of potential owners off and I would love the challenge of gaining his trust.

I'm not sure your Amara would like to have an older tom cat as her companion. The male will become highly territorial and bullying is possible. I have a neutered male who sprays! Not in the house so much, but he has sprayed indoors. I believe that is a lot of money to spend in this case, especially when you've stated you are on a fixed income and were looking for cheaper options for food. Two cats means double the food!

Keep looking. I don't know if they have any bengal rescues over there, but here you pay a small fee to get one and there are always bengals looking for homes.
