What is your cat's full name?

I chose Quasar's registered name when I registered him. His name is Freedompride Quasar. My second choice was Freedompride Aspen Quasar because, at the time, he was being an ass-pain. :rolleyes:

Merlin is Corsican Merlin, but he answers mostly to Babba!
Mum for some reason beyond me calls him MooMoo!?!?! Strangely he ignores her unless I'm away and she's house-sitting to look after him!

Yeah, names can be hard. Maybe think about pets you used to own or the cat's parents' names (if you know them). That or things that match their personality or looks. I can be really difficult though.

I had to select a pedigree name since Raiden had never been registered with TICA. I decided just to keep the name even on the pedigree!

Well....I finally recieved my TICA registration form...and its been submitted. I also ordered a 5 generation pedigree. My 1st name choice was Helderbergcats Lil Miss Suri, my 2nd choice was Helderbergcats Exotic Lil Suri. Since shes so petite it just seemed fitting to make 'Lil' part of her registered name. I call her Lil Miss Suri all the time....so I figured Id just make it official. Its nothing flashy, but it suits her. We will see what TICA puts on her papers!

Hopefully, TICA has enough "letter spaces" for all of that. The Breeder has a long enough name! LOL I just checked and none of their cats are in the bengal pedigree website! I really hate that so many breeders don't utilize that website. It's the only one that allows you to go back to the Asian Leopard cats in your bengal's pedigree. Thankfully, I was able to fill in some of the missing cats to get the full pedigree for Raiden. His dad's side was all in, but his mom wasn't even in there. Now Raiden is listed and his pedigree goes all the way back to four of five different ALCs. The website will allow you to get a 15-generation pedigree (even though it's like 400 pages long). There are a lot of different cats in a pedigree and a ton of the same ones over and over and over.

TICA thankfully has a 35 letter maximum for names. Im safe. Yeah, my breeder no joke has 80+ cats....so it doesnt surprise me that he hasnt bothered to have any info put into the TICA page. He IS in the TICA breeder registry, so at least he bothered to do that.

Im excited to get her paperwork!!

The bengal pedigree website is run by a breeder! Has nothing to do with TICA. He started it many, many years ago to help those who wanted to get a complete pedigree back to the Asian Leopard cat. Someone had to start putting in the data. The only way it gets updated is if owners receiving a pedigree from TICA actually go into the database and see if the cats are there. And if not, enter the information to bring it up to date. All of the early generation and the Millwood cats are there, so if Suri comes from the Millwood line (which at some point ALL bengals come from there), you may be able to find a link back to the ALC. I guess most people are not interested, but I was so fascinated by all the cats in Raiden's pedigree. There are five ALCs in Raiden's pedigree. Mostly the Centerwall Asian Cats. One traces back to Bonzai which is the only female Asian Cat in the pedigree. Most of the ALCs are male. I actually did the research because I wanted to know the F generation for Raiden. They claim his father is an F8, but he's actually an F9 based on my research. Raiden's mother is an F8, which makes Raiden an F9.

Ive recieved a confirmation email from TICA...Suris official name is Helderbergcats Lil Miss Suri! Her 5 generation pedigree should be here soon! Im excited to look it over!

I just sent in Crow's TICA papers- his TICA name is foxcreekbengals big save by Crawford. The origin of his name is hockey related lol I am a HUGE Chicago Blackhawks fan, and Crawford is our goalie. He is affectionately referred to as Crow. Not to mention, my Crow sounds like a bird with all his chirping and talking lol so its dual purpose :biggrin:
