Has anyone here dealt with Adabel Bengals in Australia? I'd love to hear some reviews if possible. The owner seems lovely, but she lives in a different state so I'm a little nervous.

Also, do you believe there would be a significant difference in the temperament of an F7 compared to an F10? My current girl is an F10 and while she certainly has her crazy moments, she's also one of the sweetest cats I've ever owned.

Adabel Bengals has assured me her cats tend to have loving personalities and she believes there is a genetic component to this. I'd be curious to hear everyone's thoughts on that.

I'm hoping to acquire more of a laid back kitten that likes to cuddle. :P

I don't think that far down the line there wouldn't be a huge difference in personality. My girl is an F7 and she is the sweetest most loving and loyal cat I have ever seen. I wouldn't expect a kitten to be a cuddly lap cat all of the time. A kitten will be loving and cuddly only when they are sleepy and the rest of the time they will be non-stop crazy.
If you have done your research into the breeder and they do the necessary healthy screening ( HCM and PK def) I would go ahead and make a visit if possible and judge for yourself the temperament of their cats. Good luck with your new addition :)

From their website, they appear to be a good breeder who does all the right testing etc.

Have you spoken to her over the phone at all? Ask lots of questions, speak to her numerous times.
I haven't dealt with them, all the breeders I once knew have given up the business.
The other thing you can do is ask for contact details of previous clients, she may have people you can ring to ask how they liked her kittens.

I apologise if I wasn't clear enough. I already have a bengal and am well aware of their personality. I'm after a kitten that is laid back and cuddly according to bengal standards - not your basic moggie that sleeps all day.

I talked with the breeder at length over email, haven't talked to her on the phone yet. I was considering trying to find the time to fly to her (she lives in a different state), to see the cattery for myself. I was just hoping I'd get lucky and find someone on here who had dealt with this particular breeder.
