I've been researching companion breeds for my (almost) 2yo bengal boy.
After considering another Bengal, which I would love but not sure I could handle double the fun, I've decided that the temperament of an Abyssinian would be a good match - plus the silver/black coats & facial shapes are beautiful!
We're hoping to have a little sister for B'alam by January or February next year, so the enquiries have gone out now. I'm hoping that by timing it like this, the little girl will be ready to come home when both my partner Jason & I have a good block of annual leave to spend with both cats, getting them acclimatised to each other, lots of love & settling in time for the little girl.
I've contacted an Abby breeder (Kimara) based on the recommendation made by the breeder who we got B'alam from. They seem quite knowledgeable & focussed on the wellbeing of the cat, which is great.
Any West Australian members had experience with Kimara? If so, would love to hear about your experience.
Also keen to hear from any members who have an Abby & a Bengal, just to see what the pairing is like from people with first-hand knowledge.
Thanks in advance! :)
