I purchased a couple of Bengals Kitten which are 4.5 months old male and 2.5 months old female from a foreign breeder. When I received my kitten, the male looks fat but when you hold him, he is very skinny at the back with a very big tummy, his eyes are half closed and not moving always. I brought him to vet who after took some blood test, diagnosed him to be affected with FIP, I segregated him and PTS him when he was very weak in a week after discussing with the breeder. My female have diarrhea on the third day and kept on for a week, she has a blood snap test and FCoV test which shows weak positive. The vet said FIP cant be diagnosed with clinical symptoms and FIP may be incubated for months to years. My concern is if the female got inflected. The breeder told me the male had diarrhea but cured a month ago before shipment and the video he sent me two weeks before shipment shows the male is still very fat and muscular and energetic.

The female is very active right now. Is there anyone with the same experience that can share with me. Below are photos taken yesterday when she is 3 months old, not so skinny as before and gaining weight, however, not muscular.

Can i ask where you are in the world? And what do you mean by 'foreign breeder'?

FIP is not infectious. It is a mutated version of 'Corona Virus'. Did your vet ever aspirate liquid from your kittens abdomen? Your kitten could show high titre levels for Coronavirus and not have FIP.

Your second kitten left the breeder far too young. She too will probably be positive for Coronavirus but will not necessarily develop FIP. Is she related to the boy?

Can i ask if you keep her caged? I notice a cage in your pictures of her similar to the cages the breeder had. I hate to see breeders using these cages, notice how the poor mom paces in the video you posted. It is an irresponsible breeder that breeds in this way choosing money over the health and welfare of their cats. Please don't use a cage to confine/keep your kitten in. It is cruel and unfair on them

I am at Macau and the breeder is from Taiwan, the vet did take some abdomen fluid. His eyes and ears are yellowish too and his teeth flesh white with 40.6 degree fever.

The female has a FCoV rapid test which showed weak positive, the vet asked me to repeat a more accurate test after the diarrhea treatment which may be done today as her antibody may work.

They are not from the same litter but were put in the same cage sharing litter box for a month before shipment after I made payment.

I don't put her in the cage, just making her feeling more safe to sleep and eat there and the doors of my apartment are always open except she can't go to the kitchen where the other kitten stayed before as per the vet saying the virus will stay for 7 weeks.

Don't worry, she is relaxed and happy here as she also got 2 climbing tower each 2 meter high where I ordered from US AND UK, I want to order the exercise wheel too, she is really energetic.

Will she be also inflected we are so bonded in just two weeks. She is eating Hills prescription a/d 1-1.5 cans per day, is it enough?

FIP is inflectious as per the vet, having FCoV not necessary develop to FIP but since the other one is inflected, the vet said she is most likely going to have FIP, so the vet asked me to PTS the female too.

Thanks so much for your information.

The vet also sent me several pieces of information. I immediately rejected his advice to PTS her and he taught me how to take care of her and clean the house.

The kitten did drink around one fifth of that bottle daily. It's common here for dogs and cats. My pointer is also drinking from that bottle.
