I have a 6 month old begal kitten and she absolutely cannot stand my boyfriend she is always attacking him and scratching and biting him and he went with me to pick her up and is always around. Is there a way to get her to behave better towards him or to get her to like him at least a little bit?

This is coming a bit late, but have you considered possible reasons for the hostility? If you keep in touch with the breeder, you could ask if there were any behavioural issues earlier in the kitten's life. Some cats don't like people of particular genders because of a bad experience. Is your boyfriend particularly loud? How is he around your kitten - is he relaxed, tense, stand-offish? How do you react when she attacks him? Maybe she's acting out to get attention from you.

Those are just some the top-of-mind things to consider. If you can identify possible reasons, you may get ideas of how to address the hostility.

I agree with misaac and Greeneyes, it could be because your boyfriend's behaviour and habits scare her or it could be she's had bad experiences with males before she came home with you. How long have you had her for?

Something your boyfriend should try is just to ignore her. Cats for some reason, mostly like to approach those that don't give them attention. If she starts to bite him, get your boyfriend to be the one to calmly tell her to stop by putting his hand gently but firmly on her back and hold her to the ground, calmly but with a quiet and stern tone, say 'no'. If she starts again, give her a 'time out' period of 10 minutes in the bathroom or her carrier. If she starts crying, ignore her until she stops, otherwise if the 10 minutes is up and she's still crying, she'll start associating crying louder with being let out.
