Purchase cost of kittens?

Hi, how much should I expect to pay for a show quality kitten? I am visiting a well recognized breeder tomorrow to view two males. I am happy and expect to pay a fairly high price for a high standard Bengal. I have been quoted £ 600 for one male and £ 700 for the show boy. Is that about right? They both look beautiful and I am really excited to meet them!

I thought it would be lovely for them to come as a pair too :lol:

I would say on the whole they can range anywhere from £350-£650 for a pet and some breeders charge more for a show quality although Im not too sure I complete agree with that.

average price is £450 I seem to find.

Most breeders will charge much more for show quality kittens. Claire, I just looked through your website for the first time and love how it was informative but what really impressed me is that you don't charge more for show quality kittens.

we paid £450 for Nina and £350 for Kalinda but I think that is because the breeders discount if you buy more than one despite the fact we came to get her months after Nina.
They wanted £500 for the ones they thought looked of breeding quality but I didn't like their markings anyway and since we don't care about shows, we chose Nini.

we went to look at the kittens today and were so impressed. The show quality one won best of breed, best kitten and best in show ( if ive remembered correctly? :roll:

) at the Swindon Cat Show so I guess he has pretty good pedigree. They were SO friendly, climbed into our laps, purring constantly and loved being handled so to heck with the cost, I bought them! I'M IN LOVE!

Well, I bought them and they are gorgeous! They are staying with the breeder until we get back from holiday as it didn't seem fair to settle them and then disappear for August. I would love to post photos of the boys but don't now how to on my iPad! :roll:

Does anyone out there know how I copy/ paste from my photo gallery to this site? Many thanks

I only use a tablet and had this conversation with iPad users too. None us can. The solution is using an image hosting site like imageshack or photobucket. Upload your pics there then post the forum link in your post. I use imageshack and have an app (android).

Hi Viperkeeper, yes, I used the Photobucket app on my IPad. It was actually much easier to use than the website on my laptop. Thanks for your help, much appreciated
