Yea, I think that now that you've brought your new kitten home, you need to try to move on and not focus on the regret and disappointment. If you are going to request/demand a refund, do it right away, otherwise you should forget it and move on. Certainly don't dwell on the money that you've spend or expectations that you had and let it affect your relationship with your new kitten. What's done is done, and hopefully you've learned and will do it differently next time. You can turn this into a good situation if you work at it. At this point it's really no different than if you had brought a cat home from a shelter, and those cats often work out very well in the long run. Often times what I've found is that the "scardy cats" often form some of the best bonds with their owners, because they are so exclusive in their trust and affection, as opposed to the social butterflies who sometimes can be kind of aloof.

Honestly I wasnt expecting her to look that good but I have to say that I am blown away but her face ! I cant see her body but she has an extreme wild look that most people want and most breeders breed for! She is beautiful I wouldnt be disappointed at all you have a beautiful Bengal. Give that baby time and love and she will make you and your family proud bengal owners!!!

She's gorgeous and she will settle, just give her time and space.

With bengals I have found its not all about looks! Wait until she acts like a bengal that is when the real fun and entertainment begin. We have had BB almost 2 months and she was very outgoing to begin with and now she is like a mad crazy cat running around. I love them they are an amazing beautiful breed and they have the best personality!

Are they a domestic breed of cat? Lily poops and pees everywhere. She knows to use the box and uses it from time to time, but is totally indiscriminate and will go anywhere. She loves pooping on the sofa and peeing beneath. This isn’t a fear or psychological thing. It’s as if I brought an animal in from the forest and have to figure out how to domesticate it. We’ve started to confine her, which breaks my heart, but what else can we do? It's our home. If we’re available to watch or hold her we have her with us; otherwise she has to stay in her room. I give her what playtime I can in her room. Do they outgrow this? Is it a kitten thing?

Oh no. They don't just outgrow it. You have to teach her. Confining her is just the beginning. Make sure she has multiple litter boxes to use around the house. She may have anxiety because of the way she came to you unsocialized. A lot of cats that were born in a cage don't really learn to live in a house properly. But don't let it defeat you. Get some Cat Attract to put in the litter. Keep her confined one small space without soft blankets, cushions, no rubber-backed rugs, or anything else she may like to pee on. Use a urine neutralizer to get the odor out so she doesn't become a repeat offender in that particular spot. Make sure her food and water are well away from her litterbox. Scoop at least 2-3 times a day.

If you post about this problem in the Behavior section more folks will see it and hopefully respond with more advice. Good luck to you and your sweet kitten.

This breaks my heart.

Please report the breeder to whichever organisation is appropriate for your area.

This is not normal and should not be allowed. This is basically a kitten farmer/mill!

There is some new legislation trying to be passed in the USA which will make it harder for this kind of breeder but may make them hide their breeding animals more so harder, in some ways, to find out....

I am literally trembling with anger/upset over how these cats are kept.

The breeder should be locked in a cage and made to sleep in their own urnine/faeces

I've sent a complaint into the local SPCA in her area and TICA. I haven't heard back from either. We'll see what happens. I would still like to see somewhere for breeder reviews. Most of us buy a single pet-quality cat in our lives and trust in breeders' descriptions of themselves. If we had feedback from new owners, we would be able to weed out the backyard breeders and mills pretty quickly.

Lily (our kitten) happens to be on her way to becoming an amazing cat! Quick study (smart). Nice temperment. Very cute (looks and antics) and easy to be with. She won't hang around us a much as other pets would, but if you can catch her she is gentle. She is interactive with toys but not directly with people. I look forwad to roughing her around a little bit (playing of course). I love that in cats!

My breeding queen is called Lily. Such a nice name for a cat i think. She had her 2nd litter of kittens last thursday... she had 8 but we lost a tiny one yesterday :(

My kittens are born in a spare bedroom set up just for cats/kittens. I sleep in there untill they are around 2 weeks old and Lily is happier. They then stay in their room untill they can climb over the barrier to the room and then it is chaos in the house     You have to be careful where you stand, when you shut/open doors etc.....

I can't wait untill they are moving around a bit. So much fun. For now i shall lose sleep by watching them feed and fight over nipples!

This is what i would expect now when buying a kitten......

How is the toiletting going???

Sorry for your loss. 8 sounds like a lot though. You must post a picture of them!!! :D
Lily is doing much better. Yesterday, she was sniffing on the sofa and posturing herself for an accident, but a soon as I went up to her, she knew not to. We are trusting her now. She slept with my daughter last night.

Great news on your Lily.

There is a post in the 'Off Topic' board about my Lily. I'll post a link for you.
