I have enjoyed so much these forums and everyone's answers so I am going to start another topic

So I have now chosen a silver boy, ready in about a month. We have found a breeder a couple of hours from where we live that has two girls and a boy available. I have spoken at length with this breeder and I feel very good about them. Her kittens are a few weeks behind the silver, in terms of being ready to come home with us, but I imagine since they will both be quite young, that should work out just swimmingly.

So my question for everyone is - should I get another boy to be the companion for my silver boy? Or get a girl?

As you have already picked out a boy, to me it would make sense to stick with another boy - size does matter as a Bengal!
I have always had same sex pairs of cats - I would imagine it would be easy with two boys, as once neutered they should also lose the urge to fight with each other.
Do you have any other babies / want to breed? That would have an obvious bearing unless you already have a good queen.
Post piccies when you can, please - I love looking at the babies when they are all snuggly still!

We've got 3 girls and 4 boys (1 non bengal) and to be honest I'd go for the personality and temperament of the kitten and not worry too much about the sex

Not sure about 2 boys, I would think they would get along well together if they're both kittens and grow up together. But introducing two male adults would take some time to work.

My 6 month old girl and 4 month old boy absolutely love each other lol. To me it makes the most sense.

We have just introduced a 14 month old rescue boy to a 5 yr old boy - They posed, sniffed, then went their separate ways without so much as a growl between them. Now just a week later they both trot happily off to bed together! The younger boy is even chilling out the older one towards the dog!

We have a boy and a girl. Everyone recommended 2 boys but I could already tell that these 2 were meant to be together. Morena is a bit more active, Kobe is the cutie. And over the past months they have proved me right: they were always together. The other 2 from the litter were really different from our two. They get along perfectly, love each other so mch. Wash each other, play fight and cuddle up to each other when they're sleeping. They're the perfect pets! Just have to make sure to neuter Kobe as early as possible.

I think either will work they are both kittens so there will be no teritorial issues just be sure to spay and/or neuter them. No matter what you choose if you dont desex them by 6 months you will have problems!

I went with a boy and a girl because I want the best of both worlds. If I am spending $1600 on cats then I damn sure want to own both genders. Girls and boys have different characteristics and you kind of miss out if you get two of the same.

I was lucky enough to get the top female and male kittens the breeder had. They are both alphas and this was obvious even when I first saw them at 10 weeks. Now, they are the best of friends, but individually they interact with me differently.

I get male affection from Leo - lots of head rubbing and physical love like diving into my lap or getting his cute canter on when running for cuddles. I get female affection from Chili which is a more quiet, subtle and refined type of love (because shes cute and they knows it(. Even though all cats are individuals and may act a certain way irrespective of their gender, from past experience owning male and female cats, there are certain traits they always bare.

My two play fight every day, but they seem to take turns at being sub and dominant. I like watching UFC/cage fighting and its rather comical when the commentators sound like they are calling my cats fight in the background After the fight they curl up and clean each other. Girl and boy ftw

We have a girl and a boy, which I think is what our breeder recommended. They get along great, constantly mirroring each other and are the best of friends and playmates Of course, they are siblings from the same litter, so I'm sure that adds to their closeness.
