Hi All,

I'm new to bengals and owned a cat many years ago so my cat experiences are somewhat limited.

We already purchased a little guy and are planning/debating on adopting his sister as well. Does anyone else have a sister and brother from the same litter and if so what are your experiences like? I know each bengal is different and has their own personality but I am just wondering what we would be getting into.

Also does anyone have just one bengal and no other cats or pets? I am curious how they are as well since we may end up with just the little guy for awhile.

Claude and Kiska are littermate siblings, and I'm very glad that I got them both because as well as being fantastically entertaining when they play with each other, they also play in a way that I never could have replacated if I'd only gotten one.

IMO, adopting two siblings from the same litter alleviates anxieties more, if one is more confident, the less confident sibling looks to the other for reassurance. We only took Tigger last year, his sister was going to a woman, but for a short time she was having second thoughts and I was really keen to bring her home as company for Tigger, but OH put his foot down. Tigger's always been happy as an only cat, but I can see he has a lot more fun now that he's got Nala (half sibling) to play with.

Tigger's somewhat more anxious than Nala in some ways (curious and happy in new places, but quite jumpy at unfamiliar sounds) and looks to Nala for reassurance since she's more confident, while in other situations Nala looks to Tigger for reassurance because he's been through the same thing (walking on their leads and jackets, Nala gets anxious when she can't see Tigger)
