Hello all,

Im new to bengals but have been researching them and searching for a fairly local breeder, i found alot of websites, but most seem to be sold out or haven't the pattern im looking for, also i have no idea who's trustworthy or not, so thought the best place to start would be this forum.

Any advice on known breeders or availability in the SE England area would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking for either a male or female kitten, brown rosetted, and im quite taken with the markings when they are slightly spaced, I'd put up a pic but i dont know how, lol sorry for that. I've been looking to get a kitten for a while now and when i discoverd the bengal i was taken by them straight away! Such beatifull looking cats.

I used to be in London however am now in Lincolnshire, to be honest i do not know of many or any breeders based in london but i would suggest looking on the Bengal Kitten List as plenty of breeders advertise their kittens on there , or maybe think about traveling out of london to find your fur baby.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Rather than recommending individual breeders, which is not really in the spirit of the forum, have a look on Bengal Kittenlist, where you will find breeders local to you advertising.

Things to look out for are: (and I'm sure more will be added )
1. Breeder AND kittens registered with GCCF/TICA. (be aware many "breeders" advertise kittens with a pedigree ceritficate, but that alone is not proof of registration. Ask to see the regsitration slips of both mum and dad, and make sure the sentence "no progeny to be registered" is NOT on there.)
2. Kittens will come with a signed, dated 4-generation pedigree, with registration numbers of at least the mum and dad.
3. Kittens are vaccinated, and therefore vet checked twice!
4. Kittens are at least 13 weeks old
5. Kittens have been wormed.
6. Mom and dad can be seen
7. Kittens are raised indoors, and not caged, as this is important for early socialising.


I would phone a few of the breeders on Bengal kittenlist, talk about wehat it is you are looking for, ask questions, and go and view kittens, rather than buying on a picture on a website.

I think you should be prepared to travel for the right kitten though. You may also want to do some research and also consider looking at kittens that come from heart screened parents?

Thanks alot for the helpfull replies all, i checked the kitten list and contacted a few breeders & am arranging a few visits soon!
Cant wait to see the little kittens up close, luckily their both based in london, one of them litterally down the street from me haha

Ive got to wait a few weeks before i get the oney for them anyway, so ill check them out in the meantime, and ill let you all know how i get on...thanks again!
