Hello!

I am wanting to purchase my first bengal kitten and would like to be able to collect a bengal kitten the end of August. However, I am finding it difficult to find any bengal kittens for sale around my area they all seem to be down south.

Can anyone recommend any reputable breeders in the North West area or as close as.

Also, how much is a reasonable price. Other than checking the family, home and parents of the kitten can anyone give me any tips.

I would be extremely grateful for any help or recommendations.

Check the contract.
Make sure the breeder is a registered breeder (tica/ gccf)
Check the health guarantee offered.
Ask if they screen for defects such as HCM
find out what food they feed kittens & adults, if they are feeding a quality diet it is a pointer they are looking after them
If possible try to get a look at the kitten litter trays, if they have diarrhoea there will likely be evidence of such.

Not sure about breeders where you are, I am in Glasgow so probably as bad as down south really..

Price wise it does seem to have some regional variation.

A price in the £400-£500 range is about the normal, round here at least, if significantly less than that I would want to be extra careful about the breeders credentials, there are LOTS of BYB's out there flogging non registered crosses and even spotted tabbies as full bengals at prices geared to maximise income while sounding attractive to those on a budget.

Yeah I have come across a few that charge 395 to 500 and then the odd ones that are 200 which I thought was significantly different. It seems the more crediable/professional looking websites start from £395 plus.
