As some of you will know Oska is a house cat and we built him a run in the garden, which he loves the problem is he has started pooing on the grass

Any ideas how to stop him doing this as clearing cat poo off grass has to be the worst job ever

There is a litter tray out there but he's choosing not to use it.

This has only started happening in the last week, he's had access to the run for 2 months.

Nothing has changed, I use the the same cat litter as I always used, remove poo from them as soon as they appear.

Any help gratefully received

I'm a fraid i dont have any answers for you but just from my little bad poo experience with Bailey, it came down to his litter but seen as you have put some outside for Oska it cant be that. Maybe he thinks the grass feels better!!

I know not much help though sorry.

Well he was a right little whinger last night, the other 4 cats weren't that impressed as they didn't get any food either.

Every time I stood up last night I was followed by 5 cats, very comical but I did feel mean, especially when I went to bed and they just sat there with the look on the faces of "where do you think you're going we're starving "

He's feeling sorry for himself tonight apart from that he's fine.

He is pooing daily in the run on the grass, it's grim, (Alex has the pleasure of getting rid of it ) have tried keeping the grass short, changing the cat litter in there daily but with no success, he just seems to like doing his business in the grass .It just means the kids can't go in there and play

I did think about having an area where he could dig and bury it, but I don't think he would as on the rare occasions he poos in the litter trays in the house he makes no attempt to hide it

Harvey on the other hand is a little angel and uses the cat litter
