We have had a bit of a tough start Valentia and me. She doesent seem to like me all to much after a couple of accidents with loud sounds and so on as described in another thread.

She also has bitten me a couple of times totally unexcpected. Not to hard but like cats do when they dont want you to bee near them. The problem is I cant see it coming at all. With my other cat he always showed me some signs of misscontent and I would back off.

So this happened again just now. She was laying in my sons bed and i came over to stroke her. I called her and in all ways gave signs of me coming over. No hard movements. And then she bitt me. The last time she left me in tears because I really do want her to feel loved, safe and good in her new home.

This time however I raised my voice and told her NO! Bad cat! I think twice. She turned away and knew she had misbehaved.

I just went upside to say godnight to my boy again ca ten minutes after. Went over to her like last time. Reached out for her. She started to move away but came to smell my fingers. Then I got on to stroke her. While doing this she looked me stright in the eyes and started mewing her soft silent way. Like when she talks to us.. Small, little mews as saying Im sorry..

Seriously Its difficult to excplain, but I svear. She was saying I`m sorry!

Bengals truly are special, and I love her to pieces already despite our difficultys.

Naw, that is nice. Our little Chat's does that too, when I go mad at him for jumping on our diner table he will walk off and then let out these "but mum" sort of meows as it to say - but mum...I didn't mean to do anything wrong!!

It just melts my heart - how could I stay mad at that!!!

Hehe Zebby does a long, sorrowful 'awwwwwwwwwwww' and then instead of 'meow' goes 'mekhow'. Lol that's when I melt!

aww bless. she sounds a bit like my ollie who acts a total sulky teenager most of the time. growling and grumping, but if i tell her off, or if she catches me crying she gives these tiny little chirrups and noses my fingers.

it means she does love you really, she is probably just being a little drama queen
