Do your Bengals go nuts when the when the wind whistles and howls? It sometimes gets really windy here in Denver. When it is windy, the door to the garage whistles, and there is a very noticeable sound to the wind on all the windows and doors.

My Oberon goes nuts, usually tries to open the door to the garage. Today he was racing around the house, literally bouncing of walls, Sometimes running up stairs on the stair treads, sometimes on the railing and side ledges. And of course he hopped on the door handle to the garage several times to try to get it open.

Are your kitties affected to the wind too? Other than making sure that all doors are securely bolted, I can think of anything else to do.

No, my cats are pretty chill about that kinda stuff. One funny thing though happened a couple years ago when we had an unusually big snow storm, and we were "snowed in" by a couple feet of snow. I wasn't as careful as usual walking through the front door, thinking there was no chance of a cat wanting to run out there. To my great surprise, Gaga, the adventurous one, blew past me, running right out onto the snow. She got about two or three steps out onto the snow, then stopped right in her tracks with this really shocked/alarmed look, like "WTF?? What is this cold and wet stuff. This SUCKS!!". Then she turned, and ran right back in.

Spanky spent his first 17 years in Florida and during hurricanes when the wind roared through the hurricane shutters like a banshee wailing, he was on my bed with his sister Sparky. Kayley and Bailey will play in the back yard during a windy day but they do not like it and come in cat-plaining about the wind and HUNGRY! FOOD NOW! Once feed, it is nap time or time to race to the windows to hope a bird is stranded there.

When i use the bookcases as a drum with my fingers, she bobs her head and seems mesmerized like a snake being charmed. That ends if she finds Bailey and the chase is on...

Yes, the wind really affects Oscar. He is acts like a 3 yr old toddler with a sugar rush. All his mischievious traits seem to be multiplied when it's windy!

We walk outside in the cold winter winds and doesn't seem to affect Raiden at all. He howls and yowls, so a howling, yowling wind just sounds like him.

For Finnley and Ayla all is still new.

They dont seem to be affected very much by the wind blowing hard when they are inside.
However if they are outside on the leash they dislike hard wind blowing in their ears, they flatten them and walk backwards to avoid it lol. Especially when we turn a corner or something and they feel the full 'force' (its not too bad though).

They dont mind rain either... when they are inside. However its a whole different story when they are outside, they do not like rain and the whole world will know it!
Especially ofcourse, when the rain started when we where in the forest, where they dont notice it very much. But when on our way home (couple of streets) it sounds like i have an airraid sirene on the leash. (Finn is the worst of the 2 lol)

They love water though, in the bathroom... on their terms i guess
