Our male bengal is an indoor cat (was rescued form the streets and has HIV so should not go outside).
We carefully lock screen doors so he cannot slide them open however lately he has been attacking the screens, making little holes in them and sometimes having his claws stuck in the screen.
Would any one have some advise ? For example, spraying the screen with a scent he does not like?

There are types of screen mesh made specifically to be cat/pet proof. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I understand that they can be effective.

Cats and your standard screening do not get along. You definitely need something that is more cat friendly to them. Their natural instinct is to climb as they can get their claws in fairly easily. We had to replace screens in Florida due to this. 99% of the homes there have screened in porches, which are great for securing an indoor cat, but they do like to climb the screening and make holes big enough for the bugs to come in.

Great suggestions from all thank you. Looks like the special cat mesh is the solution.
I just checked, it is available at our local home depot (Canada) so we will get to work!
