I wondered if anyone has taught their Bengal tricks? I’ve started these last few days and have taught my girl to sit, turn and high five. She picked them up very quick and seems to enjoy doing it for treats. Has anyone else tried any tricks which are simply to teach a Bengal?

Great thank you I’ll have a look. She only does it if she knows food is involved but she’s seems to be picking it up very quickly.

The thing with clicker training are the treats. The cat is not going to learn or perform the trick without some type of reward -- which is my I don't believe in teaching cats tricks unless you are going to go on America's Got Talent and win a million dollars. The tricks seem to be for your entertainment only -- or to show your friends. The kitty is only interested in the reward at the end.

Sherry, while the cat might only be doing it for the treat, I see it on the same level as treat puzzles. It's important to give animals mental stimulation, and treat puzzles are great for encouraging an animal to use problem solving skills. Tricks are the same way, they're a challenge for a pet to work out. They need to remember what they need to do to get the treat, and that's exercising their brain.
