Leonardo is a lapcat (he's sitting on my lap right now as I type this) and in the cases where he's sleeping on my lap, trying to move him elsewhere leads to a 50% chance of him biting my fingers lightly - which i take to mean he's not happy about being moved.

Today however when I tried to move him he went full on ears folding backwards angry gripping my forearm with all 4 sets of claws and biting down hard while making angry noises.

Lifted him still attached to my forearm while supporting his back, put him on a pillow and bopped his nose and pried his claws off to get him to let go.

Not sure what caused this sudden aggression as I lifted him the same way I lift him every time while he's sleeping. Anyone else experience this?

Could be worth a trip to the vet as that could have been a response to pain when you tried to move him. Could he have injured himself? How old is he?
