Hello

We are thinking of getting a bengal kitten for christmas and we would like to get a puppy at the same time. This way neither of them will be alone in the house. Does anyone have a bengal and a dog and if so how well do they get along? Do they play together? Does the bengal annoy the dog? Any suggestions appreciated?

I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. One of my cats is a bengal, Olly. My 2 other cats hate Olly. 2 of my dogs LOVE Olly. They play and play like crazy. My other dog runs in fear when Olly is around. My sisters dog loves Olly as well. I think that would be a great idea to get a kitten and a puppy, so that the puppy can learn to not attack cats at a young age. But, then again thats just me.

An update. We have our Digit who is our puppy and our bengal Indi who we got on the 21st December 2007. They are both lovely and generally get one well. They play fight with each other and also sleep in the bed together and Digit follows Indi around all the time. Indi misses Digit when we go for a walk as she does not understand why she cannot go all the time as we do take her out on the harness.
