Don't use tea tree oil on your cats without checking with a vet first that it's ok. I think it's toxic for them and therefore might make matters worse.

I used it on one of my cats a while back who had a skin allergy. My vet actually suggested using it. Obviously it needs to be properly diluted with the right percentage and used with caution! Did the trick, and the allergy cleared up immediately :wink:

As tameeria rightly said though, very wise to check with your own vet first

Maybe after new years is over I will have to call the vet back and see if an allergy is a problem. There isn't any visible irritation or redness or anything, but I'll still ask. I wish I wasn't asleep when I called for the results, heh, and asked about what it could be.
