Onyx (my moggie) was constantly doing this as he wanted to play. Also, only on me and not on my boyfriend, as I was the one letting him do so at first (when he was little and it didn't hurt ).

I tried putting him off, holding him by the scruff of the neck, scratch his belly, tapping his nose, but he still did it (at 3 months old) and I was a bit fed up so I decided he needed a friend and got Chaos (my Bengal).

It worked : he assaulted only Chaos after that, who taught him in return not to bite and scratch too hard as it hurts...

Tiger attacked us all and even cornered the 5 year old who was tearfully shouting "get him off me, get him off me!". Bless, how we laughed....

Got him Lilly to play with and bingo!, we are scratch free.

Our Indy has his moments like that. It's like his natural instinct to hunt and attack prey gets turned on and human becomes the prey.

When he gets a bit over aggressive/playful he gets time out. Ie he is put a room alone for about 5-10 mins. Usually when you come back in the room he has calmed down.

Aggression = no play and he soon learns.

Also toys with long reach (mouse on end of a long wand that sort of thing) so when you play he does not see your arm/hand as part of the target.

Learn the signs/signals that he is becoming wound up (wide eyes, swishing tail and ears back).

lol thanks guys. So your saying...I need a new kitty lol Actually, Bailey hates other cats. He loves dogs though!! I have 2 dogs back at my parents house and when we go to visit, they play the entire time. We are going to get a silver bengal eventually for him to play with, but that won't be for a while.

In the mean time, We do have a mouse attached to a pole that he loves to jump and play with. I really think he just wants attention, but even if I am petting him he will suddenly just wrap around my arm out of no where. We do have a time out room for him which usually he just sit behind the door and cries the whole time.

But thanks for the advise. I'm hoping he gets over this with some time. He is still a kitten.
