We have a 1 year old female bengal who has just started chewing on the corner of wooden coffee tables.I assume that this is due to boredom although she does have plenty of toys, and is played with quite often.
Would be grateful for any ideas for any ideas on how to stop her doing this as she is ruining all our furniture.

I guess it's not just my cat then. If anyone has an answer, I'd be interested, too...

Ours always have a couple of cardboard boxes on the go - they bite bits off and spit them out. They customise them with extra windows and holes that paws can bash out of.
I think it's just what Bengals like to do

Totaly agree our love to destroy things so we give them these rather than them eating the house give it a go.

Mikesch has a basement full of cardboard boxes to chew on and he does. He's down there chewing one to pieces right now. But there must be something irresistible about chewing wood every now and then...

On a scarier note, he completely chewed up a DaBird toy. He spits out the feather parts, but apparently swallowed the string. I couldn't find it anywhere until this morning when it came out with his poop. So now he's mad at me because I've hidden the rest of his stringy toys...

I honestly assumed Confetti was just teething because he has a favorite piece of cork board he chews on. I had to take it off the wall along with stop using it for notes since he insisted on it. I wonder if that is part of the reason he goes after my cork purses. The little devil.
