so kilowatt took a dump, and apparently accidentally got his tail into it. well, he's been playing on the bed, i need to wash those.
i filled the sink with a little bit of warm water and a bit of his shampoo. i took him in the washroom, and the second he saw the water he FREAKED and jumped into the wall and hid behind the toilet... not without injuring me first.. :'(
so then i take him back to his room. i wet a towel and i bring it into the room. he hides under the bed and when i get him and bring him towards the towel he does the same thing. he cut my hand up pretty badly, i didn't think i'd need to cut his claws on his 3rd day here, but i've been playing with his paws to get him used to it. i regret it.... the cuts are deep.
what do i do? i would appreciate any advice or anything

it flippin hurts doesnt it..
be careful you don't get infection in your scratches..
a few of mine went a bit manky. put some germoline cream on.

As for killowatt. I would personally wait till he is fast asleep to wipe him down. Also trim his nails when he is fast asleep.. You may be able to do one or two at each katnap..
but mainly you need to gain trust... lots of tiny treats and lots of fuss..
it wont happen overnight but in a few weeks he should be ok..
Just remember, ANY new situation will freak him out... he is a tiny baby in a big new world..

haha no, i've been playing with his paws everyday and his ears and try to rub his teeth, so yesterday when i cut his nails wide awake he didn't mind at all. i was so surprised how easy it was
next, to clean his ears---- the teeth thing isn't going that well though.
i did wipe him down with a small wet towel- it works very well! thanks a lot for the rec!!!! i'm slowly getting him used to and at least tolerate (preferably like) water

Hello 'smelly pirate hooker'( cool name )
My two dont sleep until about 4 am..
prior to that they put very loud cloggs on and zoom around the house at lightning speed..
usually across our laptop or chest..
from room to room.. its like theyre life depends on playing 'tig' with each other..
OH said last night.." aww let them sleep with us..
I thought 'can you imagine sleeping with 2 bengals bungie jumping on your head.. I think not..
Its bad enough having them downstairs.. it sounds like burglers are wrecking the place..
( well to be honest it looks like they have the following morning )

All these stories make me wonder...is it actually possible to Bengal-proof a house??

2 1/2 years down the line...i'm still having to cover up different things, put doors on shelving units, bolts on doors...they never stop finding their way into new places that aren't the best places for them to be (in my eyes).

i think bengal proofing is always gonna be a constant battle lol!!

I have also learnt to do a 'furry head count' before I shut the dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine door...
you can always rely on a bengal to go hunting for the elusive single sock in the washing machine drum...
