I have been reading some of the other posts regarding people with the same or similar situations. Here is mine... We have a 6 month old male Bengal (Bacci). When we first got him we tried using Worlds Best Litter, but he didn't seem to take to it and was going outside of the box. We had switched to Cat Attract and since then everything was going great and he almost never went outside of the box. However in the past 1 1/2 weeks he has started peeing on the bed, usually when one or both of us are in bed. He has been doing this sometimes twice a day! When we wake up and when we are going to sleep. Every time we put the comforter and sheets in the wash immediately, treat the areas on the bed and sheets with Natures Miracle Cat Formula. We have stopped allowing him in the bedroom at night for fear of him peeing on the bed. We are really at our wits end and don't know what to do. We keep his litter box clean, it is usually scooped twice a day, sometimes only once though. Sometimes he is left alone for an extended period, but this is not often and we do pay a LOT of attention to him (as all Bengals certainly demand it).

He was sent to the vet on Wed. to get neutered and we were hoping that would help stop it, but last night when we got him he peed on the bed and then did it again this morning. It tends to be in the same general area on the bed (on my girlfriend basically). Please help! This is becoming a REALLY big problem.

How old is he ? The effects of neutering are not immediate when they've started marking their territory...

Ours did this and they are only 4 months - one weed and one pooed (so 2 nights running at the laundrette)! I have solved it by not letting them in the bedroom. I will let them in eventually but I have washed the duvet in disinfectant and when I let them back in I plan to put a blanket over the bed to make it seem different and also squirt with lemon or vinegar for a while. I think that they remember the places they have 'been' and will try to return to them. So I would advise shutting them out for a while, thorough cleaning with disinfectant and making it seem as different/unattractive as possible when you let them back in. I have heard that some cats just like to go on feather duvets so if all else fails you could consider replacing it with a different kind.

I know that shutting them out of the bedroom might be difficult - if you do this, buy earplugs for the first couple of nights, and whatever you do - don't open that door until morning so they get the message that wailing will not make you open it (you probably know that anyway)!

Let me know how you get on, I'm nervious about letting mine back in! By the way - other kittens that I had in the past used to like marking the duvet and all stopped in time, but we did have to buy a new duvet and carpet!

It is very difficult for me to keep him out at night, but my girlfriend has few qualms about it. Frequently he will wake her up by biting her at 5am when he wakes up and decides it's breakfast time. She will then lock him out of the bedroom until 6:30 when we wake up, we are used to the crying. Sometimes he will spend the entire night out of the bedroom if he is just too hyper at bed time and is attacking anything that happens to sneak out from under the covers (I'm sure all of my fellow Bengal owners know exactly what I mean).

I am going to try another litter box as well to see if that helps and we have been washing the down comforter with Nature's Miracle as per the instructions. Hopefully it will pass soon, I miss having him curled up next to (or on top) of me at night purring away happily.

I had a very similar experience with one of my Bengals. He would pee in the bed right next to me then lie by it & me quite happily as if claiming ownership. He also would be very hyper at night and would pounce at my head/feet any thing that moved. My hands would be so badly scratched people thought I had a demon cat. I played with him every night when I got home from work to try & wear him out, but he had far too much kitten energy. The only solution for the hyperness was getting another Bengal. (he was 9 months at the time). They now burn off their excess energy together by chasing each other & playing. He's a much happier cat & they both sleep on the bed next to us. For the pee issue I used lots of anti icky poo spray, a feliway defuser & an extra litter tray with different litter. There hasn't been any pee on the bed for about 18months now.
