Does your bengal stalk you? Confetti has recently( last 2 weeks )started stalking me throughout the house. I am hoping this is just away he is playing. It started when I go to bed a bit earlier than my hubby. He will jump from his guitar case to the bed and run up me. Run up me & stare at me like he is trying to intimadate me or something and this repeats until he decides he tired and then he sleeps at my feet. If you watch him though he acts like he is stalking a bird or something -- but infact its me. Lately its progressed to other parts of the house. For instance the other night I was sitting on the sofa and looked at him and he crouched down and then he starts sneaking up and pounces me and starts batting me with his paws (no claws out thank goodness) and he walks off and restarts the process. Last night he started chasing me -- so I chased him back which that for sure became a game for about a good 1/2 hour. My husband thinks its funny. Well later last night as we are sitting on the couch he starts the stalking thing and then jumps up and runs at me like you would see an Alpha male wild cat do or something and keep repeating it every so often.

I don't think he is trying to be mean because he doesn't bite or scratch me. Most of the time he curls up on my lap or is trying to hang out by me when he is not stalking me. He doesn't do this to anyone else in the house. Well sometimes he chases the kids to the bathroom but I think that is more for them to turn the water on for him.

Should I try to discourage this behavior?

Onyx did this before I got Chaos. I guess your cat may need a cat friend to play with .

Tiger used to do this all the time. He'd follow us to bed, so I used to 'hide' my face under the duvet and then peak out at him - he's go into 'stalk' mode with his ears down etc. and then charge me until we were nose to nose. It was a bit disconcerting the first time he did it as I was expecting to get clawed, but he's never 'deliberately' hurt any of us. I've read somewhere that cats say hello by touching noses.

My boy does this too, and I LOVE it. Especially if he gets his tail poofed.

Your kitty just wants to play! He's trying his best to get your attention, that is all. Chase him around! I do that all the time with my boy. He loves it.

My fave game with Indy is door hiding. Sounds like confetti will love that too.

I hide behind the door and pop my head round the corner and back quickly. He tries to resist and sneak up on me but usually ends up jumping at me/the door and growling/squeeking.

You would be amazed how high Bengals can jump.

He will play this for ages and never scratches.
