I do feel sorry for you, I know it was horrible when mine only did it a few times.

How do your cats get along with each other? If one of them is feeling insecure, they could be marking because of this. You could try making a big fuss of the one who is marking, feeding him first, petting him first to help him establish dominance and feel secure. Worth a try?

When we first got our kittens, the girl was dominant. Now it is the other way around and the boy is dominant. Perhaps this is why my boy went outside thebox a few times during the dominance changover period.

Diablo is the one who is marking- he ALWAYS makes sure to eat frst, and the most. He also is the one who comes when i call and loves to be pet, but then walks away when he's in the mood. Yuki loves to snuggle and be pet, but doesnt care about eating as much and isnt vocal at all
