I would think most coverage has a deductible and a maximum they will reimburse per year. Thus, some major issues could reach the maximum quickly. But, I guess any coverage would be better than NO coverage in that case.

We are also based in Surrey and use Animal friends pet insurance.

We are currently going through our first claim with them in 6 years, so I will let you know how that goes.

It's a tricky balance as we have never had to use the cover before so we opted for the lowest of their top covers -the superior cover, at just over £10 per cat a month (we have two cats). This seemed quite reasonable. But it has a condition limit of £2000 which we are now well over, so in hind sight I might have gone for one of the higher covers. It's a difficult decision.

I have heard bad things about Pet Plan too, but I can't remember exactly what. It seems a lot of people here get on with them though and I am definitely going to be checking our Marks and Spencers cover myself.

It's alright for some people boasting they can afford to pay any amount of money on vets bills but for some of us mere mortals we need pet insurance as we don't have that sort of money burning a hole in our pockets.

"Boasting"? I was commenting! I've been saving money since I was 10 years old. It adds up over 57 years! Every penny of it was earned -- allowances or working a job. I am but a mere mortal as well.
