While walking the cat on his harness my sisters dog appeared around the corner and stood across the path blocking our way.
It was not the way i wanted to introduce the dog and cat to each other and was a bit early in the cats harness training to have a possible confrontation not knowing how this cat would react. I gritted my teeth and expected anything. (Dogs character isn't so good...ankle biting sneak up from behind type dog.)
The cat just lowered his head and pushed the dog aside like he wasn't even there and continued into the flower bed where we were heading anyway. After thorough investigation of the flowers and weeds (mostly weeds) the cat decided to investigate the dog.
Went round and round the garden with a curious and wanting to play cat following the dog and the dog trying to find a place to hide, the dog didn't know how to cope with such a pushy and confident cat.

Not knowing a lot of this cats history except that he is a distinct don't give me crap type cat I was wondering if anyone else's Bengal has such a confidence with dogs they haven't met before.

Mine doesn't like dogs, period. We encounter several on our daily walks. Raiden usually just lays down and observes from a distance. We have had dogs unleashed and they run up to Raiden. He just arches his back and hisses at them and I tell the owners they best get their dog before Raiden attacks it.

Quasar is okay with strange dogs, as long they are controlled and not yappy.

He is best of friends with Lucy, our Aussie, as he was with Kyenta, our Samoyed, but those relationships did not develop overnight.
