Took my kitten to the vet today for vaccinations. He got distemper booster and rabies shots. Vet said he should be good for a year now. Took him home and now he seems to be sleeping the whole day. Very unusual for him. He's usually demanding that I play with him. Hope he's ok. A quick search shows that might be normal, but I'll be happy when he's pestering me again.

Thank you. I called them and they said the same thing. I'll see how he is in the morning. It's very unusual for him not to eat also, and he is sleeping right through dinner time. I had a dachshund whos face would swell up from a certain vaccine. I stopped giving it to her. I also had a kitten who died from the anesthesia during the operation to be spayed. Trying to do the right thing and causing issues makes me wonder what's right.

It is a common thing -- but not all cats experience that. Yours is a kitten, so I'm guessing it is more common. Things should improve in 24 hours or so. If Jagger is still lethargic after 48 hours, contact your vet again.

Well he came back to life last night. Playing and eating like normal.
