When Jagger first came home I purchased a water dish that has a constant flow of filtered water. Nice set up and easy to maintain. However, Jagger won't use it.
He prefers to drink out of my luck bamboo plant. I've had it for several years and there's only rocks and the lucky bamboo plant in the bowl, and we add water a couple of times a week. I don't think there's anything that could harm him. For some reason, that's where drinks several times throughout the day.
It's a pretty funny site because he really looks like a wild jaguar in the jungle when he's surrounded by the leaves.
Gotta love Bengals.

It is crazy what cats will do. My DSH will drink out of the area where my neighbor's house gutters flow down into the street. The pipe is filled with dirt and other stuff but he's always drinking out of it. He loves the puddles in the streets and even Raiden will drink out of puddles in the yard. There is a bowl with fresh water on the feeding station of the cat house and I have a fountain in the kitchen and a bowl of fresh water in our bathroom -- somehow they prefer the outdoor dirty stuff.

I read that cats can drink sea water. So I guess a little dirt is nothing for them.
If I'm on a raft lost at sea with Jagger, he'll be coming to my funeral.

I don't know about sea water for cats either! Not sure how they process sodium in their system, but who would chance it? LOL. There are cats on boats and that would FREAK me out to no end. Almost all of them wear pet life vests -- but I'm not taking my bengal on a cruise EVER! LOL

Mine drinks out of his bowl but with one front paw in the center of the bowl.
Use a bigger bowl and both paws in the water.

My half-Bengal only wants to lick the water faucets, and then chooses a tiny glass jar. I think when he was young, his whiskers curled around to the front and hit the water when he got his face down, which he didn't like. He loves to stand in the sink any time you run the water, too.

There are bengals who sit by the sink waiting for you to turn the water on and others who, when hear the running water, rush to the faucet. And I've seen bengals really enjoying a bath in the tub.

Haha. Yup! Jagger is always in the sink. I think he likes checking out the dishes to see if he can lick a plate.
Last week he actually turned on the water. We were sitting in the living room and suddenly heard the water running. We go into the kitchen and sure enough there he is at the sink. Never happened again since but if it does we'll have to figure out how to lock it closed.

Honestly, bengals are the smartest cats. They can seemingly get into whatever they want. They find a way. I hear mine trying to open my closet door in the middle of the night. If he does it just right, it will open enough for him to stick his paws on and pull it open.
