Evening all!

My little guy Bengii is at his 13th week mark along with his brother SImba and I've noticed that hes gotten much bigger than when we first picked him up at 9 weeks from a breeder of a close friend. When he stretches I'm surprised as to how long he is!

One thing I was told by the breeder that I got him from (she gets all kinds of rosetted and tri-marble), was that she had never seen a particular coat like his before (at least unique to her). I was curious if you have all seen a coat like this and if its common. Sometimes under certain lighting he truly does look unique around the face and he can look almost silver at times but that is due to lighting. I provided some pictures- I am only curious as he is one unique fellow as it is! His coat is almost cream looking..

Hi Denis. If you are asking about his pale (creamy) background colour, it's not uncommon in kittens as far as I'm aware.
When Bryan was young his background coat was quite creamy too, but has darkened up as he got older. I've attached a couple of photos.
1st when he was around 3 months old. 2nd he's around 18 months old.





By the way. Bengii is gorgeous

Welcome to our forum. Good breeders understand the genetics and coat colors for bengals. What I see is a warm pelted bengal. There could be some snow down the line, but your breeder would know that with a full pedigree of the parents. Regardless, your baby is stunning!!! Also, a good breeder would not let a kitten leave before 12 weeks. We do have a lot of people that just breed their females and have little knowledge of the bengal breed.

Thank you both for the replies! This was my first go-around at purchasing Bengals so to be quite honest I did not know the process. I found a breeder local to the city I live in. However, the breeder and her significant other were kind enough to let us in their home and visit 2-3 times before we purchased. At the time I did not know that Bengals should be kept with their mother until 12 weeks for socialization, etc.

Since we picked up Bengi and Simba at 9 weeks they have been great. They are now going on 13 weeks and we have bonded very closely with them and they do not appear to have any socialization issues.

The breeder was considering keeping Bengi at first because she thought she had potential to be a show kitten so I am glad we got the little guy! :)
