Oberon loves fishing toys of all kinds. He used to run off with the prey on the end of the toy (feather, fluffy worm, etc.) but has learned that play stops when he runs off with the toy. Now he drops the toy and waits for the next flick of the wand.

On a whim I bought a Jackson Galaxy ground prey iguana attachment, A rubbery segmented type thing.

OMG. He is obsessed with it. Runs off with it, chews on it, begs for me to get it unstuck and start again. He still LIKES the other toys, but adores this one.

Every morning I found that he has dragged it off to a different place. He broke the attachment loop in the first week, so I have it tied around the first segment.

Anyone else have this experience with this attachment? Any other rubbery prey attachments I should try?

No, that's not one I've tried. Serafina is so obsessed with wand toys, she goes nuts, and it's so important to her. Whenever I even walk by the room where she knows the toys are kept, she's sprint in there meowing, then look at me sadly like I'd be the biggest scumbag alive if I didn't bust out a toy and play with her just then. And my oriental, Neytiri, always magically appears when the toys come out too. Gaga is too dignified to play with such things. She'll only chase after her little bouncy balls, which she carries around hollering at me to throw them for her, many times a day. This morning I woke up with 2 of her balls next to me on the bed. Oops, good thing I'm a sound sleeper.

Although I'm a huge Jackson Galaxy fan, sadly most of the products he's attached his name to, seem to be complete crap, imo. But I'll have to give that one a try. I'll look for it! Thanks for the recommendation.

I will be very interested in your cats' review!

I agree that most of the Galaxy products seem to be not such a good value. Even this one I bought at an off price store and paid only $3 for it.

If it gets chewed up, I may have to spend more to get a replacement on Amazon...

Raiden has always liked the wand end being swished around versus chasing the toy on the end. I did get the TNR Buddy from Jackson and both cats love bunny kicking it. It has held up for years. I still have Da Bird and Neko wand toys that my DSH will chase and then run away once he catches it. But Raiden just doesn't have much interest. I do have a basket of catnip toys and both cats will go over and pick out their toys and play with them. Unfortunately, they will not put them back in the basket.

I hear you. ROTFL

Oberon loves this toy so much, that after he has run off with it, it looks like he wants to bring it back, His eyes look like he is trying to will the toy back. Desparately.

Bengals are a real hoot! I may look at some new toys and try something different.

My cat is either lacking in imagination or a cheapskate...spent a fortune on toys and all he wants is his shoelace with a bit of paper tied in the end or his tennis ball that always ends up in the water bowl.

You know in the end, they always go for the cheap things. We used to use empty thread spools. They also love straws, ping pong balls, yarn. Nobody has to spend a fortune on cat toys. Cats are very simplistic creatures.
