As a kid we always did a big dinner on Christmas day. Ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, cranberries
it was like 2nd Thanksgiving.
As an adult it totally depends on who is "hosting". My husband and I tend to trade off with one of his brothers, so one of us hosts Thanksgiving and the other hosts Christmas (sometimes we host both lol). This year his brother is hosting and we're celebrating Christmas eve. I think they're cooking steaks and baked potatoes and the rest of us are in charge of appetizers, sides & deserts. Not quite sure what I'm making yet but I will be taking an appetizer and some desert options.
Christmas day is going to be quiet for us so I will probably make a big breakfast rather than making a big dinner.
