What a hard decision. They are both so lovely. I would be very interested but I already had two 18 month old spotty boys who have grown up together. I'm not sure how it would go introducing two older cats. Good luck.

This may be a naive question... but in a situation like this, is there expected to be an exchange of monies involved? Or is it a matter solely of finding a home?

If it is legal and not too harrowing for the cat... I would most certainly take them and pay the transportation costs, but I am in Canada. I would even fly over and get them myself if that's allowed. But that's on the presumption that the animals themselves are free.

They'd be well treated with more than enough room to roam (indoors. Outdoor as well but only supervised.) and they would have that home for life.

Anyway, thought I'd post in case it could work. I would imagine they are "for sale", but for all I know England is teaming with bengals out the ying yang and they cost next to nothing and are treated like common vermin running rampant in the street and you're having a horrible time finding a good home for them.

Short of that... I wish you the best of luck and I'm sorry for your friend that she'll be parting with these beautiful creatures.

Bengals are loved in England, too.

These cats are free to the right home. The owner is on vacation and they are being boarded at a nice cattery right now.

On these forums, most people already have their cats, so it isn't always easy to find an avid forum poster who can take on two. Em hopes to find someone who likes the forums so she can get updates and pictures, etc.. There are some folks interested, and Em hasn't responded to anyone yet that I know of. She is just seeing what is available. :wink:

I'm in the "market" right now. So if it could be a consideration, I would have to know soon as we're making a decision on a kitten (just viewed one today). We'd actually prefer young adults but around here we have had zero luck with that. The kitten would be costing us a lot of money. So would a flight to England, but it so happens I've been looking for an excuse to come there as I have several customers that would appreciate it if I came (I sell/install specialty auto parts in certain vehicles). So from my perspective, it really could work. While we weren't looking for 2 cats, for these beauties we would make an exception! My only "condition" would be some assurance that they are healthy. We recently lost our Maya at an early age to a horrible rare condition, so we don't want to take on animals known (or suspected) to have problems.

I only just found this forum today, so of course I'm not an avid member. Yet

just as an FYI. I just researched and discovered that there are really no special requirements whatsoever from importing a domestic cat from the UK to Canada. The UK is on the list of "rabies free zones" so the only thing required are basic vaccinations and perhaps a vet declaration to that effect. I was (pleasantly) shocked at the lack of regulation and red tape!

Not sure if this will work out, but just thought I'd mention it.

These aren't F1 to F4 are they? I really doubt it, but there are restrictions for those.

I really hope this works out! IMO, if someone is willing to fly a few thousand miles to offer these gorgeous cats a forever home, it really shows dedication!
