Hi. I do see a lot of people who wish to rehome their Bengal/s, as have I, with such heavy hearts.
I was thinking of offering a home checking service for Bengals in South East UK if some of you would be interested. This would be a private service, and there would be no charges but a donation towards any fuel costs.
If you don't know my background - I have been owned by cats for over 30 years and have been lucky enough to have at leat one Bengal in my life for the past ten years. Until we moved in June, I have been a home checker for the RSPCA for 8 years. I was happy to be one of the home checkers who felt that just because you live on a main road, or in a flat, was not an automatic bar to having cats, but instead I would only judge once I had met the person, couple or family. And where possible, matching a cat type to the potential new home is important. I also home checked for dogs, rabbits and rats!
I am a full time Uni student which means that I have a few days a week at home so I would be happy to help out if you would prefera "third party" to home check who could be diplomatic as well as seeing what would be best for both parties.
Let me know what you think. Thanks.
Yvette
