Mean while, Tuffy and I went to the beach at Dauphine Island, Alabama

Not too sure about the little waves, I thought he might actually get in the water, he did enjoy walking on the white sand

Art, it sure is sunny, I think I'll rest here a bit(after walking on the shoreline)

Tuffy likes to drive, we are on our way home from the beach, he seems to really enjoy the A/C vent blowing cold air in his face!

I had to wash some beach towels and he decided to help me! He really has
grown into a big ol' cat since I first posted his picture almost ten years ago!
I sometimes wonder what his siblings must be like today...

Thanks for these posts. It's great to see an update on Tuffy. The picture with him at the steering wheel made me laugh. The thing that comes to my mind is that scene in "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray is fed up and doing goofy stuff and puts a groundhog at the wheel of the car and tells him "Don't Drive Angry!" LOL. Tuffy looks like that, especially with his mouth open.

Anyway, brings back a lot of good memories digging up this post again.

Happy Birthday Tuffy! 10 years old today :biggrin:

Hello all, time to update with a few photos...

I decided to make Tuffy a nice leather biker jacket/harness for his birthday. He was quite patient during the 'build' process. He likes to walk on his leash and this is the purrfect harness for Tuffy. This afternoon we when to PetSmart for the 'Fall Festival - Bring your pet'. It was a fun outing, he made friends with a big service dog - a Rottweiler named 'Envy' this big dog was just infatuated with Tuffy, they got along just great. The small french bulldog seemed to be scared of Tuffy. Everyone who saw Tuffy asked to pet him and wanted to take a picture with him. He even got some free Science Diet samples :) Everyone likes Tuffy and he had another good birthday. :biggrin:

I haven't been on this forum that many years but I have looked back at your post from the beginning when you first got Taffy, he is a handsome boy and clearly leads an eventful and interesting life with you.

Hi all,
Tuffy had to go to the vet today. He has had a small lump(about pinto bean size) on his hind leg for a couple of years, but lately it seemed to be getting a bit bigger. Our vet removed the small mass, cleaned his teeth and got all his shots up to date. He is not too happy that he has to wear the cone for TWO WEEKS until the stitches are removed. He was glad to get back home this afternoon. I'll post more in a couple of weeks.

Love the Tuffy updates, which are all too infrequent! Sorry to hear about his surgery, but hopefully, everything was removed and he can just recover. Oh the cone of shame. Wish they would come up with something better. I realize that area is hard to bandage and a onesie won't work either. Please keep us updated.

Tuffy appears to be 'OK' with his cone. I remove it so he eat and clean himself,
and use his scratch post, he doesn't mind when I put his cone back on, I think the harness
he likes wearing has made this easy for him to accept. He was playing fetch yesterday
even with his cone in place!

He's quite laid back
